Open dwelling terraces into introverted mass of history. The terraces are wrapped in an end to create the sensation of a refuge. The below is liberated and the above is inhabited, integrating the common space, pleasure, relax in the house. The temporary limits of transparences between the housing and the street allows keeping the exterior /interior connection. An open extroverted housing with flexible spaces filled with color is inserted at Pietermaai Smal.This is the first contemporary building in the UNESCO protected area of Pietermaai Smal. The design was a wonderful adventure learning about the past and present of Curacao’s culture with the input of UNESCO, Curacao Goverment and our clients who had the quest of revitalize the area
